About Us
Jennifer Ewing painted and drew from an early age. She attended supplemental classes at the Art Institute of Chicago before graduating from Monmouth College, IL with a major in Art. She was an elementary art teacher and taught drawing and painting at Mesa State College, Grand Jct. CO. She moved to SF in 1981 and worked as a technical illustrator for engineering companies until going into business with Leo as Ewing & Germano. She now also teaches in the Education Program at the DeYoung Museum. In her off hours, she sketches, paints and does figurative sculpture.
Leo Germano, a natural born draftsman and humourous illustrator earned a BFA in design from the Chouinard Scool of the California School of the Arts. He has been a teacher in the Peace Corps (Malaysia XI), a draftsman and graphics specialist for architectural and engineering firms. Currently, he is persuing his passion for photography and digital graphics. Painting along with Jennifer, he does perspective control, design layouts and photographic documentation for Ewing & Germano. Leo is a San Francisco native, speaks Italian and has travelled extensively in Italy.

A PASSION FOR ART sustains us. Teaching is our calling. Our desire is to facilitate shifts in perception. Decades of experience in various facets of the art world gives us a rich background to tap into as we create programs that help others find or go deeper into their creative selves.

Italian Reniassiance Painting inspired us to begin our own mural business in 1988 as Ewing & Germano, a husband and wife team. In 2002, we added workshops to our offerings both within our studios in San Francisco, or onsite.
